Welcome to Certification Tracking App (“CTA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Certification Tracking App platform, including our website, web portal, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or an organization.

2. Description of the Service

Certification Tracking App provides tools for tracking, managing, storing, and receiving reminders related to professional certifications, licenses, credentials, training records, and related documentation.

The Service may include:

  • Individual and organizational accounts

  • Upload and storage of documents
  • Expiration tracking and reminders
  • Notifications via email, SMS, or push notifications
  • Subscription-based features

3. Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of certification data you enter

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach.

We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized account access resulting from your failure to safeguard credentials.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription.

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on plan).
  • Fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.

App store purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play) are subject to their respective billing terms.

5. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data, files, and content you upload (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant CTA a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for:

  • The legality and accuracy of User Content
  • Maintaining backups of important records

We do not verify, certify, or guarantee the validity of any certifications stored in the system.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Misrepresent certifications, licenses, or credentials

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Notifications and Reminders Disclaimer

Certification Tracking App may provide reminders or alerts regarding upcoming expirations.

However:

  • Notifications are not guaranteed
  • Delivery may be delayed or fail due to technical, carrier, or third-party issues
  • You remain fully responsible for tracking and maintaining compliance with certification requirements

CTA is not liable for missed deadlines, expired certifications, or regulatory consequences.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party providers (e.g., payment processors, messaging services, cloud storage).

CTA is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms and practices.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, trademarks, logos, text, and design elements of the Service are owned by or licensed to Certification Tracking App and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Required payments are not made
  • We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, your access to the Service will end. Data retention policies are described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CTA disclaims all warranties, including:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of certification data

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Certification Tracking App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Certification Tracking App from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal action shall be brought in state or federal courts located in Oregon.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
